Stepdown Registered Nurse - Thomasville, Georgia in Thomasville, GA

This opportunity is for a registered nurse with stepdown unit experience to provide skilled care in a monitored setting. The position involves working night shifts in a progressive care unit, supporting patients requiring intermediate to advanced cardiac monitoring. Role Details: • Contract position, 13-week assignment with possible extension • Night shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) • EOW (Every Other Weekend) and holiday coverage required • Facility requires Royal Blue scrubs (not provided) Qualifications and Experience: • Valid RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a stepdown unit, with Intermediate to Advanced telemetry skills • Skilled in IV starts and use of Cerner EMR system • Previous travel nursing experience preferred • Must provide a drivers license and updated nursing licenses for verification (to determine travel or local rate eligibility) • Candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility are eligible for local rates; those living less than 30 miles will not be considered for travel pay rates Responsibilities: • Monitor and assess patients in the cardiac progressive care unit • Administer medications, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring accurately • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Maintain detailed, compliant patient documentation in Cerner EMR This role is well suited for a nurse with strong telemetry and stepdown unit expertise who is comfortable working night shifts.
