Stepdown Registered Nurse - Warner Robins, Georgia in Centerville, GA

A challenging role is available for a Registered Nurse with Stepdown/PCU experience in Warner Robins, GA. Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to Stepdown ICU patients with complex conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, strokes, and other critical diagnoses. • Manage and monitor invasive lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators with static settings. • Administer IV drips (insulin, heparin) and titrate medications precisely. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists. • Perform bedside procedures and assist with patient ambulation, feeding, and vital sign monitoring. • Utilize EPIC EMR and specialized equipment including Philips monitors and PCA devices. • Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule with weekend coverage and holiday shifts as required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum 2 years of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience. • Active RN license. • BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification required. • CCRN certification preferred but not mandatory. • Proficiency in EKG interpretation (BCR certification recommended or competency exam required). • Skilled in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, and specialized drip management.
