Key Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; first-time stepdown nurses are welcome to apply • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Ability to work every other Saturday with Sundays off • Comfortable managing a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 • Open to candidates willing to contract and relocate; local hires within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted Responsibilities and Duties: • Deliver direct patient care for adult patients with diverse and acute medical diagnoses • Coordinate patient care activities including monitoring, medication administration, and patient education • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans • Utilize Meditech for accurate and timely charting • Adhere to hospital policies regarding infection control, safety, and documentation Schedule: • Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) About the Location: Situated in Waynesboro, VA, this role places you in a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and access to outdoor activities.
