Stepdown Registered Nurse - Wichita, Kansas in Eastborough, KS

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in step-down care to support patient care in a progressive care unit. This contract position provides a chance to work in a specialized environment focused on patients requiring close observation and expert nursing care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation
• Familiarity with NIH stroke scale preferred
• Experience in step-down or progressive care units

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in an 8-bed step-down unit
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:4 to ensure quality care
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including other RNs and patient care technicians
• Utilize Meditech EMR system for accurate documentation and communication
• Monitor patients thoroughly to identify any changes in condition, particularly cardiac rhythm irregularities

Schedule/Hours:
• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
