Stepdown RN - Bangor, Maine in Hermon, ME

Providing skilled nursing care in a stepdown unit, this role involves delivering patient-centered treatment under the guidance and supervision of clinical leadership. The position requires competency in acute care nursing with an emphasis on telemetry monitoring and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: • Perform patient care activities in accordance with state nursing board regulations and facility policies • Collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse to ensure quality care throughout assigned shifts • Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly • Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members • Participate in orientation and maintain certifications as required Qualifications: • Current Maine RN license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required within 30 days of hire • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred • Telemetry experience preferred • Certification in MOAB or CPI is a plus but not mandatory • Strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills essential Schedule/Hours: Flexible to meet unit needs with opportunity for orientation up to 16 unpaid hours Employment type: Contract (up to 13 weeks, with possible cancellation of shifts as per contract terms) This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute in a supportive healthcare environment committed to compassion, integrity, collaboration, and excellence.
