A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced RN with stepdown skills to provide high-quality care in a specialized cardiovascular setting. This contract position is based in Elgin, OK, offering a unique chance to work in a 33-bed stepdown unit known for its cardiovascular specialty care. The unit manages complex cases including STEMI / NSTEMI, chest pain evaluation, congestive heart failure, noninvasive ventilation, post-cardiothoracic surgery care, antiarrhythmic IV medication administration, and peripheral vascular compromise. Patient care ratio is 1 : 4, ensuring a focused care environment. Key Responsibilities : • Provide nursing care for cardiovascular stepdown patients • Administer IV medications including antiarrhythmics safely • Monitor and manage complex cardiac conditions and post-operative care • Collaborate with medical staff to deliver patient-centered care • Float between stepdown, med / surg, or ER units as required • Maintain flexibility with scheduling; no block scheduling available Qualifications & Experience : • Current RN license • Minimum 2 years of experience in a stepdown unit • Strong cardiovascular nursing skills and knowledge • Ability to work 6 : 00 pm to 6 : 00 am shifts • Must have a clean disciplinary record with no actions Location Highlights : Elgin, OK is a welcoming community offering a peaceful environment with easy access to city amenities.
