Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced registered nurse with stepdown, medical-surgical, or telemetry skills to provide night shift care in a critical access hospital setting. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and assume charge nurse responsibilities. Flexibility to float to other units as needed is essential for this position. The schedule includes every other weekend rotation, providing a balance between consistent work hours and personal time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), MedSurg, and Telemetry settings during the night shift
• Perform charge nurse duties, including coordinating patient care and supervising nursing staff
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as necessary, adapting quickly to varied clinical environments
• Participate in department quarterly education sessions to maintain clinical knowledge and competence
Desired Qualifications:
• Current RN license with experience in stepdown, MedSurg, or Telemetry nursing
• Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities suitable for charge nurse responsibilities
