A skilled Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown care is sought for a contract position in Franklin, Indiana. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum 18 months RN experience, preferably in stepdown or critical care settings • Certification in ACLS and BCLS is required; NIH certification is preferred • Proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care including TAVI/TAVR • Skillful in managing arterial lines, central and PICC lines, blood product administration • Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips • Preferred experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, ventricular assist devices, ventilator management, and cardiac catheterization procedures • Ability to work a ratio of 1:5 and meet weekend shift rotation requirements • Must obtain Indiana, compact, or temporary RN licensure prior to start • On-call not required; flexibility to float within scope to meet unit needs Shift and Schedule: • Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) • Weekend rotation every other weekend • Option for block scheduling to be discussed Work Environment and Unit Details: The unit primarily manages cardiovascular surgery patients, thoracic surgery, cardiology, endocrine, and oncology cases. The setting includes all private rooms equipped with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring. Contract Details: This is a contract role with guaranteed hours ranging between 36 and 48 per week depending on schedule.
