Provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced stepdown unit located in Waipahu, HI, supporting patient recovery with close monitoring and collaboration. This contract position offers the opportunity to work unique 12-hour shifts with a dynamic schedule. Schedule/Hours: • 3 shifts per week • 12-hour shifts • Rotation schedule, including consecutive weekends as needed Key Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, including monitoring vital signs, managing IV therapies, and assessing patient conditions • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans and ensure patient safety • Float to Med/Surg units during low census periods, providing versatility and support where needed • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in adherence with professional standards Qualifications/Desired Experience: • Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start • Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing preferred • Ability to work scheduled rotation shifts including weekends • Flexibility to float between stepdown and Med/Surg units • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Location: Waipahu, Hawaii Situated on the island of Oahu, Waipahu offers a unique blend of suburban comfort and cultural heritage.
