Job Description
A nursing opportunity is available for experienced RNs specialized in step-down care, focusing on patients requiring tracheostomy and ventilation support. This contract position is based in Anaheim, CA, offering a chance to contribute to a dynamic medical team in a growing per diem pool.
Responsibilities:
• Provide competent nursing care to patients in a step-down unit, including management of trachs and vents.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with all facility protocols.
• Support weekend coverage and be flexible to contribute to a full schedule through late January and early February.
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse license with active verification.
• Proficient in care involving tracheostomies and mechanical ventilation.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required.
• Up-to-date immunization records including MMR and Varicella vaccination status or declination.
• Negative TB screening results.
• Ability to comply with drug and background screening processes.
Schedule:
• Weekend availability is mandatory.
• Preference for candidates who can maintain a consistent schedule from mid-January through early February.
