Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Bangor, ME in Bangor, ME

A registered nurse with a passion for stepdown care is needed to support patient recovery and deliver compassionate care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to work under the supervision of the Unit Director and alongside clinical leaders, ensuring high-quality patient care in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Maine RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring highly desired
• MOAB or CPI certification preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
• Ability to work flexible hours and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care functions as per Maine Board of Nursing and facility policies
• Collaborate with Unit Director and Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse to maintain quality standards
• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a stepdown unit setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication with the care team

Additional Details:
• This is a contract position with potential flexibility in scheduling

• If residing within 50 miles of the facility, a local rate adjustment applies
