Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Carmel, IN in Carmel, IN

A clinical nursing opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care for individuals requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The position operates under a contract schedule, offering a balanced workload and consistent weeks.

Location: Carmel, Indiana

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor cardiac patients using bedside cardiac monitors.
• Maintain an RN to patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to ensure attentive care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement appropriate care plans.
• Assess patient conditions, document care, and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications or Desired Experience:
• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Experience in a Stepdown, Progressive Care, or cardiac care unit preferred.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac needs.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work a 36-hour week, including every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
