A specialized opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses seeking a contract role in a stepdown unit located in Los Lunas, NM. This position involves working nights in a progressive care setting within a cardiovascular-focused unit. Ideal candidates possess a solid foundation in cardiovascular nursing with a minimum of one year of clinical experience, though two or more years is preferred. Schedule/Hours: • Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30 – 07:00) • Option for 36 or 48 hours per week Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN license • 1+ years of nursing experience in a similar setting; 2+ years preferred • Cardiovascular nursing expertise required • BLS and ACLS certification required; CPI certification preferred • Experience with EPIC documentation system is beneficial • Comfortable with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio • Flexibility to float between units as needed • Availability for weekend shifts on a rotating basis Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in a 55-bed cardiovascular stepdown unit • Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate care transitioning from intensive care • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EPIC • Participate in block or case-by-case scheduling as required Location: Los Lunas, New Mexico, offers a tranquil yet vibrant community setting with scenic views of the Rio Grande Valley and easy access to outdoor recreational activities.
