Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Orono, ME in Bradley, ME

This opportunity calls for a Registered Nurse skilled in step-down patient care. The role requires delivering attentive and compassionate nursing services under the supervision of the Unit Director, with clinical leadership provided by the shift’s Charge Nurse or Clinical Leader.

Qualifications:
• Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required within 30 days of hire)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not mandatory
• Telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and multitasking skills, with a collaborative team spirit

Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care in accordance with Maine Board of Nursing regulations and facility policies
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Support unit management through adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Additional Notes:
• Contract position with potential for schedule flexibility
• Orientation up to 16 hours (unpaid)
• Facility may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract
