Key Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care on a 20-bed cardiac step-down unit, managing patients with complex cardiac conditions, stroke overflow, and medical-surgical telemetry needs. • Utilize advanced nursing skills to perform and monitor procedures such as thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, pacemaker management, and cardiac catheterization follow-up. • Adhere to unit staffing model practices, collaborating within 4-RN teams supported by licensed nursing assistants and unit clerks. • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using an electronic health record system. • Participate in bedside shift rounds and handoffs to enhance patient experience and safety. • Ensure compliance with certifications and protocols, including advanced cardiac life support and stroke center regulations. Desired Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN license with step-down and telemetry proficiency. • Certification in Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). • Experience in managing cardiac patients with devices and advanced procedures. • Ability to navigate and document within modern hospital technology systems. • Strong clinical judgment and effective collaboration skills.
