Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Registered Nurse with extensive critical care experience is sought to provide exceptional patient care within a premier academic medical center. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a Magnet-certified hospital recognized as Wisconsins top-ranked facility and a Level 1 Trauma Center. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in multiple ICU specialties including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and progressive care units.

This role is based in the vibrant city of Waunakee, WI, near a leading university hospital in Madison. Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years, with proven skills across multiple ICU units
• Demonstrated ICU experience with adult populations is mandatory
• Experience working in an academic Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Current Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
• Certification in BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Proficient in Epic electronic health records (experience within last 12 months preferred)
• Telemetry experience with basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to pass a Telemetry competency test before start
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care in diverse critical and progressive care settings including Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU
• Collaborate and participate in Shared Governance councils promoting patient-centered practice
• Adapt flexibly to shifting unit assignments as per staffing needs, including floating to various departments within the organization
Schedule & Hours:
• Night shifts, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation; no on-call requirements
