Summer Camp Registered Nurse in Thurmont, MD

This is an on-site summer position for a Registered Nurse at Camps Airy & Louise, located in Thurmont and Cascade, Maryland. The dates for the summer are June 21-August 9 with a minimum one week commitment. The Registered Nurse will oversee camper and staff health, administer medications, respond to medical needs, maintain medical records, and implement health policies. Responsibilities include providing routine and urgent medical care, managing health supplies, collaborating with camp staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols. Room and board provided. Staff housing includes an air-conditioned private cabin with a full bathroom. Qualifications • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active and valid Maryland state license • Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and patient care management • Knowledge of pediatric and adolescent healthcare • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with campers, parents, and staff • Organizational skills for maintaining medical records and managing supplies • Experience in a camp, school, or similar environment is a plus • CPR and First Aid certification required • Ability to work in a fast-paced, community-oriented setting
