Job Summary We are seeking an Operating Room Perioperative and Circulating Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures within a premier boutique plastic surgery practice. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of aseptic techniques, patient assessment, and perioperative protocols, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes for all patients. The Operating Room Perioperative Registered Nurse will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality perioperative services in compliance with hospital standards and HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities for the Operating Room Perioperative Registered Nurse • Perform preoperative assessments and patient education • Review medical histories, medications, and surgical consents • Assist with operating room setup and sterile technique • Monitor patient vitals and support the surgical team during procedures • Provide PACU care and monitor recovery • Administer medications and manage pain control • Deliver discharge instructions and follow-up guidance • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety protocols • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff • This posting represents the major duties and responsibilities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Qualifications • Minimum 1 years of experience in a perioperative or critical care setting is required • Active RN license in the State of Michigan is required • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing • BLS and ACLS certification (required) • Experience in plastic surgery or other similar practice (preferred but not required) • Must be polished and professional: willing and able to cover any visible tattoos or facial piercings during work hours; hair must be neat and professional appearing; only natural hair colors accepted unless otherwise discussed; nails must be kept short and clean; neutral nail polishes only; no artificial nails; no perfumes; uniform must be clean and professional and provided by the practice.
