Description Location: UCHealth Pikes Peak Reg Hospital, Woodland Park, CO. Department: PPRH Operating Room Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $38.91 - $60.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Join our team as a dedicated Surgical Registered Nurse, where you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and well-being before, during, and after surgical procedures, working in accordance with established practices, policies, and our organization’s mission. Responsibilities: • Prepare the operating environment prior to surgery, ensuring all safety measures are in place and patient records are thoroughly reviewed. • Monitor and communicate patient conditions during surgical procedures while maintaining the integrity of the sterile field. • Assist in the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and supplies, conducting counts with the circulating nurse. • Deliver nursing care to a complex, high-acuity surgical patient population, adapting to the technical demands of the operating room. Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Preferred: BSN. • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. • Preferred: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification. • 6 months of OR nursing experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
