Job Description
Location: Avera Queen of Peace Hospital
Worker Type: Regular
Work Shift: 7:15am start time, rotating weekends, holidays, and call, totaling 72 hours over two weeks
Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50, dependent on experience

A Brief Overview: As a Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver critical nursing care, develop nursing diagnoses, establish care objectives, provide comprehensive support to patients and families, and continuously evaluate care outcomes to meet the evolving needs of those you serve.
What You Will Do:
• Deliver patient-focused care by reviewing physician prescriptions and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
• Create and implement nursing care plans through thorough assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Educate patients and families on healthcare requirements, medications, and self-care strategies to foster independence and understanding.
• Evaluate and adjust patient care based on established therapeutic standards and changing patient conditions.
• Ensure a safe and secure patient care environment by following infection control protocols and organizational policies.
• Document all patient care services accurately and comprehensively.
• Maintain patient care equipment and supplies to guarantee readiness for optimal care delivery.
• Continuously develop your nursing competencies in alignment with organizational leadership expectations.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should be able to meet the specified hours and perform essential job functions effectively, including strong communication and listening skills.
Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state Board of Nursing upon hire.
Preferred Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment.
