Job Description
Deliver expert surgical support as a Surgical Technologist in a dynamic Operating Room setting. This role involves working under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses to maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment throughout surgical procedures. Utilize your knowledge of surgical techniques, anatomy, and instrumentation to facilitate seamless invasive therapeutic and diagnostic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare case carts by interpreting and adhering to detailed preference cards.
• Coordinate effectively with OR staff and sterile processing teams to ensure instrument availability for scheduled and urgent cases.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and sterilization coordinators to manage daily surgical schedules and anticipate potential delays.
• Manage core communications, delegate tasks, and oversee staff breaks to maintain operational flow.
• Serve as a resource for surgical services and sterile processing departments regarding supply and instrument procurement.
• Liaise with materials management to optimize supply usage and deployment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical technologist training.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible.
