Surgical Unit RN - Larned, Kansas in Larned, KS

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing skilled support in the operating room, this position focuses on delivering quality perioperative nursing care in a contract role based at a healthcare campus near Larned, Kansas. The role offers a day schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week, with variable start times to accommodate surgical demands. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum 1 year of operating room experience as a circulator covering orthopedics, OB/GYN (including C-sections), and general surgery • Scrub experience is not required • Preferred: 2+ years OR experience and prior travel nursing experience • Highly preferred: EPIC electronic health record system knowledge • Current Kansas RN license and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications • Flexible to float to procedural areas such as pain management and interventional radiology Responsibilities: • Assist with patient care throughout the surgical process, focusing on circulation in the operating room • Support various surgical specialties per assignment, including orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery • Participate in on-call rotations with 8 shifts per month covering weekends (Fridays after 5pm to Mondays before 7am) and holidays on a rotating basis Location: This opportunity is based near Larned, Kansas, within commuting distance of a regional healthcare campus serving the community.
