Surgical Unit RN - Mentor, Ohio in Chardon (Township), OH

A healthcare facility in Mentor, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise for a contract assignment. This role requires hands-on participation in diverse surgical procedures, including robotic, genitourinary (GU), gynecological (GYN), and general surgery. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to scrub and circulate during cases, maintain accurate counts, handle specimens properly, and support on-call coverage during nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Participate in robotic surgeries and conventional operations.
• Maintain precise surgical counts and manage specimens with accuracy.
• Respond to on-call duties including nights and weekends as scheduled.
• Collaborate closely within a surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Operating Room nursing experience prior to travel.
• Experience in both scrubbing and circulating roles in the OR.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the operating room specialty is required.
• Ability to adapt to a team-oriented work environment and handle call responsibilities.

Schedule/Hours:
• Day Shift, four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM).
