An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with a strong background in orthopedic total joint procedures. This contract position is located in Painesville, OH, offering day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week (5x8-hour shifts). Ideal candidates will bring recent and extensive perioperative nursing experience and thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum 18 months recent Operating Room RN experience, with at least 18 months in a permanent OR RN role prior to any travel assignments • Proven expertise in orthopedic total joint procedures is essential • Current AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Recent Epic electronic health record charting experience within the last 6 months, mandatory • One recent reference from a nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required (Charge RN references also accepted) • Must be available to work at least every other holiday • Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration assessments during orientation Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care specializing in orthopedic total joint surgeries • Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes • Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic charting systems • Adhere to hospital protocols, including participation in assessments during orientation Location Overview: Painesville, OH, offers a welcoming community with easy access to both urban amenities and natural attractions.
