Job Description
A healthcare position is open for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in perioperative nursing, specifically within the Operating Room setting. This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply your expertise in a supportive clinical environment dedicated to exemplary surgical care.

Schedule/Hours:
• 8-hour shifts rotating through 0630-1500, 0900-1730, and 1100-1930
• Weekend coverage and on-call are voluntary
• 40 hours per week
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of 2 years Operating Room experience required
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, renewed every two years
• Proficient knowledge of perioperative nursing practices aligned with AORN standards
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate emotional tolerance, professionalism, and sound judgment under pressure
• Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining clinical competencies
Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care based on thorough assessment and perioperative nursing theory
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care for surgical patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations
• Ensure aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance throughout surgical procedures
• Coordinate patient care ensuring equipment readiness and safety compliance
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical processes and postoperative care
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
• Participate in ongoing professional development and in-house Operating Room training course as applicable
