Job Description
An opportunity is available for a registered nurse skilled in telemetry to provide specialized care in a surgical cardiology setting. This contract role involves caring for post-open heart surgery patients on a surgical cardiology unit, emphasizing critical monitoring and management of cardiac drips.

Situated in New Britain, CT, this position offers the chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment known for its commitment to cardiac care excellence.
Schedule:
• 36 hours per week
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM every other week
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse licensure with telemetry expertise
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Experience managing post-open heart surgery patients
• Familiarity with cardiac drips and intensive cardiac care preferred
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from open heart surgery
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips under physician guidance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital protocols
Contract Details:
