Job Description
A registered nurse with critical care expertise is sought for a contract assignment in a busy, multi-specialty hospital unit located in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care for adult and geriatric patients requiring telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac and medical-surgical conditions.
Key responsibilities include delivering skilled nursing care to patients with complex cardiac issues such as arrhythmias, cardioversion needs, congestive heart failure, and post-cardiac catheterization monitoring. Proficiency in managing cardiac dripssuch as amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and nitroglycerinis essential, along with experience in hemodynamic monitoring and care for medical-surgical patients including those with renal, pulmonary, surgical, and occasional vascular or orthopedic conditions. The position requires adherence to strict protocols and efficient multitasking in a telemetry overflow IMCU setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in telemetry or critical care; travel nursing first-timers will not be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Skilled in arrhythmia management and care of patients with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitors
• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
• Ability to work night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts, 7 pm7 am)
• Comfortable with floating within the facility as needed and occasional on-call response with a 2-hour response time
• Full compliance with orientation and credentialing processes
