Telemetry Registered Nurse - Brunswick, Maine in Brunswick, ME

An opportunity exists for a registered nurse skilled in telemetry and intermediate medical care to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract position involves working both day and night shifts, with a guaranteed 36-hour workweek and no call requirements. Nurses will float between units based on patient needs and their clinical expertise, ensuring a diverse and engaging work environment. Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) units. • Monitor respiratory status, manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory equipment. • Interpret telemetry strips and provide care for patients with tracheostomies. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans. • Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic medical record system. • Adapt to floating between IMC and medical-surgical units as needed, applying nursing skills across various patient care settings. Qualifications And Experience • Current RN licensure with 1-2 years of clinical experience. • BLS certification required. • Proven experience in Intermediate Medical Care with competency in ventilator management. • Familiarity with telemetry interpretation and tracheostomy care. • Strong communication skills and ability to work flexibly within a team. • Completion of mandatory onboarding education specific to the facility.
