Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver expert nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity medical-surgical unit focused on postoperative and cardiac care. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population including cardiac, medical telemetry, and post-op patients. • Manage complex nursing interventions such as IVs, PCA and epidural infusions, ketamine drips, wound care including wound vac dressings, and advanced airway management including tracheostomies and chest tubes. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system. • Adhere to unit policies including dress code and infection control on a fragrance-free unit. • Participate flexibly in float assignments as needed. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience in a high-acuity setting. • BLS certification required. • Experience with cardiac telemetry patients highly preferred. • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with a focus on accountability and adaptability. • Comfortable managing patient ratios typically between 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 at night. Schedule: • 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM7:30 PM or 7:00 PM7:30 AM • Every other weekend required • 36 guaranteed hours weekly • No on-call requirements Location:This role is based in the vibrant coastal town of Brunswick, ME, known for its rich history, stunning natural beauty, and welcoming community.
