Provide expert care to patients on a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and medical cases in Cottondale, AL. This contract role offers the chance to utilize your nursing skills in a dynamic environment focused on delivering patient-centered treatment to individuals with cardiac issues and related medical conditions. Key Responsibilities • Deliver nursing care to patients primarily experiencing cardiac conditions such as chest pain, palpitations, and arrhythmias within a 42-bed Cardiac Medical Unit. • Monitor and treat patients with additional medical diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, occasional strokes, and post-surgical care. • Collaborate closely with nursing and ancillary staff to support optimal patient recovery. • Float to other units and hospitals as needed. • Maintain patient safety and documentation adhering to healthcare standards. Qualifications & Desired Experience • Associate Degree in Nursing required. • Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or an active compact license (temporary licenses not accepted). • Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification. • Minimum 18 months nursing experience overall with at least 1 year in a relevant specialty area. • NURSYS verification completed. Schedule & Location: • Located in Cottondale, AL. • Flexible schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week with holiday shifts as required. • Every other weekend coverage.
