Telemetry Registered Nurse - Dacula, Georgia in Dacula, GA

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in telemetry care. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions on a telemetry unit. Location This position is based in a healthcare facility located in Dacula, Georgia, a vibrant community known for its suburban charm and convenient access to the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Responsibilities • Deliver nursing care to patients with congestive heart failure and various cardiac diseases. • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and manage cardiac dysrhythmias. • Utilize unit systems including Epic electronic health records, Pyxis medication dispensing, and SBAR communication tools. • Adhere to patient-to-nurse ratios of approximately 1:4-5 across a 17-bed telemetry unit. • Collaborate with sister units through floating assignments when required. • Work night shifts with a schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. • Participate in orientation and maintain full compliance for successful assignment start. Qualifications And Experience • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time telemetry nurses are welcome to apply. • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. • Proficient in cardiac telemetry and patient care management. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced telemetry setting with cardiac patient populations. • Experience with Epic and Pyxis systems is essential. Schedule • Night shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) • Every other weekend shift required unless otherwise specified. • Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Additional Information This contract role includes orientation time aligned with assignment length and may require holiday work. Compliance with orientation timelines is mandatory to avoid assignment delays. The role requires wearing navy blue scrubs.
