This role focuses on managing patients with various cardiac diagnoses, including A-Fib with RVR, chest pain, congestive heart failure, and medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring due to electrolyte imbalances. Schedule / Hours : • Day shift, 7 : 00 a.m. to 7 : 30 p.m. • Every other weekend rotation • Option for block scheduling • Required to work scheduled holidays during the contract unless covered by regular staff Key Responsibilities : • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips accurately • Administer and manage cardiac medications via oral, IV push, and IV drip routes • Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings using Cerner EMR • Provide bedside shift reports ensuring continuity of care • Maintain patient safety standards on a 24-bed telemetry unit • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while floating across units as needed Desired Qualifications : • Current IN RN license • BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum of 2 years telemetry nursing experience • Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and medication management • Ability to handle patient ratios of 1 : 5 or 1 : 6 with effective prioritization Location Insight : Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a vibrant city blending Midwestern charm with modern amenities.
