A specialized opportunity is available for experienced registered nurses skilled in telemetry nursing, particularly those with a background in advanced care and step-down units. This contract role is based in Hamilton, OH, and requires providing high-level care for patients with complex needs, including managing advanced drips and participating in both team and primary nursing models. This mixed-acuity unit emphasizes collaboration among RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to enhance patient care quality and balance workloads effectively. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum 1.5 years nursing experience, preferably level 1; level 2 experience will be considered • Proficient in BLS and ACLS certification; must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips • NIH Stroke Scale certification or willingness to obtain • Experience working in large hospital settings, preferably level 1 trauma centers • Ability to pass an online EKG Telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment start • Flexibility to float within stepdown/advanced care units across multiple campuses within a 15-mile radius • Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays (no holiday RTO accepted) • Travel nursing experience preferred Responsibilities: • Deliver advanced nursing care to telemetry patients with complex medical needs • Administer and monitor advanced drips carefully within defined patient ratios (typically 1:4; may be up to 1:5-6) • Collaborate within team nursing or primary nursing models tailored to unit needs • Float among various specialized units as required, supporting nursing teams and ensuring continuity of care Schedule: • Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) • Option for 36 or 48-hour workweeks, with overtime paid after 48 hours • No block scheduling available Location Insight: Hamilton, Ohio, is a vibrant city with access to multiple healthcare campuses within a short distance, offering a rich professional environment with community-oriented living.
