Deliver expert nursing care during night shifts at a dynamic healthcare setting located on a military base. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population including general medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, pediatric, and OB surgical cases. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical independence and strong critical thinking skills while managing complex care situations and leading other care providers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
• Address multifaceted psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely while monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, interventions, and outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs and available resources.
• Meet leadership expectations as outlined by organizational competency frameworks.
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in a related specialty highly valued.
• Active RN license in New Mexico or through nursing compact agreements.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Schedule:
• Night shift hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, full-time.
