Telemetry Registered Nurse - Huntington, Indiana in Huntington, IN

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience to provide compassionate care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. This 13-week contract role focuses on cardiac telemetry patients with conditions such as A-Fib RVR, chest pain, CHF, and electrolyte imbalances requiring continuous monitoring. Key Qualifications : • Current RN license in Indiana • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications • Minimum 2 years experience in telemetry nursing • Strong ability to interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac medications (PO, IVP, IV drip) • Proficient in patient assessments, charting, and bedside shift reporting • Comfortable working with a patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 • Experience using Cerner EMR system preferred Schedule : • Days, 7 : 00 a.m. to 7 : 30 p.m. • Every other weekend rotation with an option for block scheduling • Required to work scheduled holidays unless covered by regular staff Role Responsibilities : Provide high-quality care for a 24-bed telemetry unit, ensuring patient safety and effective communication across shifts.
