Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry care within a dynamic healthcare setting in Kaneohe, HI. This contract position offers a chance to utilize your expertise in monitoring cardiac patients, assisting in both surge inpatient holds and emergency department holds. Candidates should be flexible to work either in the emergency department or the float pool, supporting critical patient care needs.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in condition.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and effective treatment plans.
• Manage patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately.
• Adapt quickly to fluctuating patient volumes within surge and inpatient holding areas.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards throughout the assignment.
Desired qualifications:
• Valid RN license with proven telemetry nursing experience.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required for the duration of the assignment.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Flexibility to be assigned to either emergency department holds or float pool to meet patient care demands.
Schedule:
• 48-hour rotations involving surge inpatient and emergency department holds.
This contract opportunity includes an on-time start bonus, reflecting the urgency and importance of the role.
