Telemetry Registered Nurse - Liberty, Missouri in Liberty, MO

An experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry with a strong cardiac background is needed for a contract role in Liberty, MO. This position is ideal for candidates with proven expertise in cardiac telemetry, including managing cardiac drips, pre and post cardiac catheterization care, and sheath management. The role requires night shifts and offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where advanced skills in telemetry nursing are essential. Qualifications And Desired Experience • Minimum 18 months of true telemetry experience with a focus on cardiac care • Proficient in titrating drips and caring for patients with sheaths, especially pre/post cardiac cath patients • Proven experience with Cerner charting system (required) • Current RN license in Missouri or Compact state • Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), CPI, NIHSS; TNCC preferred • Must be able to float across units as needed • Previous travel nursing experience requiredno first-time travelers • Ability to manage COVID-19 patients confidently • Successful completion of an orientation EKG exam (80% or higher, focusing on lethal rhythms) • Telemetry-specific CEUs required: 8 in cardiac care and 8 in stroke care Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care on a specialized cardiac float pool night shift • Administer and monitor cardiac drips and manage patients pre and post cardiac catheterization • Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic health records • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, including infection control and COVID-19 protocols • Adapt to changes in patient assignments with flexibility and professionalism Schedule/Hours • Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 - 07:15) • Every other weekend required Location Highlights:Liberty, Missouri, offers a welcoming community with a rich historical backdrop and modern amenities.
