Responsibilities • Deliver patient-centered nursing care on a 42-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. • Monitor and treat patients with cardiac-related issues such as chest pain, arrhythmias, and shortness of breath. • Provide care to medical patients with conditions including pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, stroke, and surgical recovery. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Float to other units and hospitals as needed to meet patient care demands. • Work scheduled shifts including holidays and every other weekend as required. Qualifications And Experience • Associate degree in nursing required. • Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact license (temporary licenses not accepted). • Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification. • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; 18 months will be considered with 1 year in a relevant specialty field. • Experience working in cardiac telemetry or a similar specialty preferred. Job Type • Contract position offering the choice of 36 or 48 hours per week.
