Telemetry Registered Nurse - Moundville, Alabama in Moundville, AL

Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic Trauma Surgical Unit focused on acute trauma and surgical patients. This role demands expertise in trauma nursing, with additional care provided for orthopedic and urology populations, ensuring a comprehensive and individualized approach to patient health.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on trauma, orthopedic, and urology patients.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring thorough and attentive monitoring.
• Float between units and hospitals as needed to support staffing requirements.
• Work holidays as required and every other weekend to maintain exceptional care standards.

Qualifications And Desired Experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact License (no temporary licenses).
• Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and OR Red Cross.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience; candidates with 18 months will be considered if they have a year of specialty experience.
• Proficiency in trauma nursing with ability to manage complex patient cases.
