Job Description
A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in MedSurg and Telemetry nursing to support patient care in a Level 3 Trauma facility. This contract position offers the chance to apply strong clinical assessment skills and comprehensive nursing knowledge within a busy hospital setting.
Location: Sandersville, GA

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients with acute and chronic conditions on MedSurg and Telemetry units
• Perform critical nursing tasks such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and monitor insulin and heparin drips
• Conduct cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation, assist with post-op patient care, and manage wound care
• Coordinate care and discharge planning in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) and clinical equipment proficiently to deliver accurate patient care
• Engage in patient education to promote health and recovery
• Support CNA staff and collaborate with unit secretaries, charge nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Active GA RN license
• Minimum 2 years MedSurg/Tele experience; first-time traveler considered
• BLS and BCR certifications required; ACLS and medical-surgical certification preferred
• Proficiency with IV insertion, central line management, and telemetry equipment
• Strong clinical assessment abilities and multitasking skills in a Level 1 trauma setting
Schedule & Work Environment:
• 12-hour shifts (7 AM-7 PM or 7 PM-7 AM) with weekend rotations and holiday shifts as scheduled
• Work within a team-oriented, fast-paced unit with free parking
• Orientation provided including unit-specific training and educational modules
