Telemetry Registered Nurse - Stockbridge, Georgia in Stockbridge, GA

An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to support adult to geriatric patients in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract role requires a minimum of one year of experience in telemetry nursing, with a strong emphasis on cardiac care, arrhythmia management, and hemodynamic monitoring. Key Responsibilities: • Manage telemetry patients including those with arrhythmias such as stable A-Fib, SVT, and bradycardia. • Provide care for cardiac conditions including CHF, chest pain, post-cardiac catheterization, and patients requiring cardiac drips (e.g., amiodarone, dopamine). • Monitor and care for patients with pulmonary and renal issues such as COPD, pulmonary edema, PE, and DKA. • Support overflow IMCU patients including surgical cases and occasional vascular or orthopedic patients. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and timely transfers. • Utilize unit systems including Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools. • Adhere to facility protocols and compliance requirements for patient care and attendance. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Valid RN license with at least 1 year telemetry nursing experience; first-time telemetry nurses not accepted. • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. • Proficiency in cardiac drip medications and arrhythmia interpretation. • Experience with post-PCI care, cardiac cath lab patients, and hemodynamic monitoring. • Ability to float within the facility as needed based on scope of practice. • Reliable to respond to call within 2 hours, although call is rare. Schedule: • Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). • Every other weekend commitment. • Holiday work expected based on assignment period.
