Telemetry Registered Nurse | West Lafayette, Indiana in West Lafayette, IN

A registered nurse with strong telemetry and neurological experience is needed for a contract assignment at an acute care hospital in West Lafayette, IN. This role is suited for a RN comfortable managing mixed acuity patients with a focus on medical-surgical, progressive care, oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary conditions. Key Responsibilities • Provide nursing care for patients on a telemetry unit including post-heart catheterization and post-pacemaker care • Manage multiple drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Insulin • Care for unstable stroke patients requiring specialized neuro expertise • Monitor and support patients on BiPAP and other respiratory assistive devices • Deliver care for both medical-surgical and progressive care unit patients • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes Qualifications And Experience • Active RN license with Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license available before start date • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory • Solid prior experience in neurology or neuro-intensive care preferred • Telemetry, progressive care, or medical-surgical nursing background required • Experience managing cardiac drips and familiarity with post-procedural care is essential Shift & Work Schedule • 4x12-hour day shifts (06:00 - 18:30) About the Location:West Lafayette, Indiana, is a vibrant college town known for its welcoming community and thriving cultural scene.
