Job Description
An opportunity is available for a registered nurse skilled in medical-surgical nursing with telemetry experience to support patient care at a healthcare facility in Auburn, Indiana. This position offers the chance to provide nighttime nursing care in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department holding areas as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and facility guidelines during night shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Indiana
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of one year experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Cerner system
• Ability to work in a 6:1 patient ratio setting
• Flexibility to follow block scheduling and float as required
Details:
• Location: Auburn, Indiana
• Job Type: Contract, 13-week assignment
• Shift: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM, no on-call responsibilities
• Facility: 26-bed unit focused on Med-Surg/Med Tele care
• Orientation: Two days approved on-site training
• Remote time off: Up to three days available with no blackout dates
• Travel requirement: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local applicants will not be considered
