Functioning within the Health System s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries Requirement description : • 2+ Years of Experience - [REQUIRED] • Attendance: must be committed to reporting for all assigned shifts and be on time. • Must be competent with Cardiac medications (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex,) and have knowledge of titration and application of these medications. - Required • Must be competent in telemetry and possess knowledge of heart rhythms. - Required • Must possess critical thinking skills, be able to recognize change in patient status and intervene - Required • Must possess knowledge of signs/symptoms of stroke, recognize change in patient status and intervene. - Required • Must have strong communication skills.
