Description
We are seeking a dedicated Trauma Nurse Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care given to trauma patients from the pre-hospital phase through hospitalization, disposition, and reintegration into the community. You will work closely under the guidance of the Trauma Program Manager to ensure that our trauma care meets both regional and national standards while providing exceptional patient-focused care.
Your work will be instrumental in implementing performance and quality initiatives, as well as supporting either the pediatric or adult trauma patient population. We believe in empowering our caregivers, and you will play a critical role in shaping the patient experience at our facility.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• Certification in TNCC, ATCN, and Stop the Bleed Instructor within 1 year of hire
• Professional Nursing Certification in Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), or Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) within 1 year of hire
• 4 years of recent nursing experience in Emergency, Critical Care, and/or Pediatric nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of experience in Trauma Registry and trauma care systems at the community, state, or national level
