Travel Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse - $2,333 per week in Garfield, NJ

Certification Details • BLS • ACLS • Current and valid state RN License Job Details • ICU Critical Care for Open heart cases. • Responsible for delivery of safe patient care utilizing nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Provides direct patient care within scope of practice. • Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in ICU. • Communicates with physician about changes in patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic studies, abnormal results and symptomatology. • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Job Requirements • Current and valid state RN License. • BLS certification required. • ACLS certification required. • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care. • Open Heart Experience required. • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. • COVID vaccination/boosters preferred. Schedule Information • Day shift and night shift positions available. • No guaranteed hours as this is a per diem position. Unit Specific Information • Position is for CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit). • Care involves open heart cases and general ICU critical care. Additional Details • Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam must score 80% or higher. • Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening must score 80% or higher. • COVID-19 vaccines and booster required or declination completed. • Proof of MMR immunity required. • Annual Respirator fit test required. • Hepatitis B vaccination required. • Influenza vaccine or declination required (Nov 1, 2025 - Mar 31, 2026). • TB Test required. • Driver's License, State ID, or Passport required. • Varicella vaccination/titer showing immunity required. • Tdap vaccination required. • Physical/Health Statement annually required, must state clear to work. • National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date required. • Prime Specialty Exam must score 80% or higher. • Prime Skills Checklist required. • Prime Core Competencies Exam must score 80% or higher. • Prime Agency Attestation required. • Prime SAM/EPLS search required. • Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification) required. • Prime Job Description signed by employee required. • DCI/BVP for Workplace Violence Prevention required. • Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test) within 60 days of start required.
