Need nurse for cardiac OR that can circulate. Ideal if they can scrub as well. Call required. Position Overview The CVOR at Anne Arundel Medical Center supports a high-volume cardiovascular surgical program, performing complex cardiac and vascular procedures. This role requires a cardiac-trained RN with strong circulating experience and the ability to scrub when needed. Nurses must demonstrate advanced perioperative skills, teamwork, and adherence to sterile technique in a fast-paced operating room environment. Requirements Licensure: Active Maryland RN License or Compact License. Experience: • Minimum 2 years recent CVOR experience – Required • Strong cardiac OR circulating experience – Required • Scrub experience – Preferred • Community hospital experience – Preferred Trauma Experience: Trauma Level I or II – Preferred Local Radius Rule: Locals Accepted Certifications • BLS (AHA) – Required • ACLS (AHA) – Preferred Charting System: Not Specified Clinical Job Duties • Circulate for cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and vascular cases while maintaining strict sterile technique. • Assist with scrubbing for cardiac and vascular surgeries when required, preparing instruments, supplies, and surgical fields. • Administer blood and blood products safely and in accordance with surgical and anesthesia protocols. • Support intraoperative patient care including monitoring lines, assisting with pulmonary artery lines, and coordinating with anesthesia and surgical teams. • Participate in call coverage, responding promptly for urgent and emergent cardiac surgical cases. Facility & Unit Details Unit: CVOR Number of Rooms: 26 Daily Census: 50–60 cases per day Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
