The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, and managing patient care. The RN will advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and ensure patient-centric care aligns with the professional nursing practice model. Responsibilities

Evaluate patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments. Initiate assessments based on the patient’s problems and needs. Document care based on standards of care and practice as well as patient acuity. Support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

2+ years of experience working in Cardiovascular ICU required. Strong experience in telemetry, stepdown/surgical, thoracic, and vascular stepdown required. LVAD competency is required. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required. BLS and ACLS certifications required. NIHSS certification required. Telemetry certification preferred.
