American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring at least one year of experience and a GA or compact RN license.
/n /n Responsibilities/n
Critical Care Float role in a hospital setting serving adult and geriatric patients
Primary assignment is ICU Float, with potential to float to MS, MS/Tele, PCU, ICU, Neuro ICU, and CVICU units
Patient ratios are 1:2-3 for ICU, 1:4-5 for PCU, and 1:5-6 for MS and MS Tele
Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
Required to work every other weekend
Must float to various units as needed throughout the hospital
No call requirements
Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR systems
Responsibilities include caring for critically ill patients and floating between various critical care and med-surg units
Navy blue scrubs are required
Travelers are expected to work major holidays according to the facility policy: one holiday if one falls during the assignment, both if two, or two if three or more fall during the contract
No blocked scheduling is permitted
Maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed; none permitted during the first week
Full compliance required to start on time, with potential contract delay if compliance is not met
First time travelers are accepted
Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
/n /n Requirements/n
Active GA or compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH
Experience with adult and geriatric patient care in critical and progressive care settings
Epic EMR experience required
Must provide two supervisory references (manager level or above, charge not accepted)
Perm/PRN staff must be away for one full year from all Piedmont facilities prior to return as traveler
