Job Overview:
• University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department. The ideal candidate is comfortable caring for patients across all age groups and managing complex, varied diagnoses in a dynamic clinical environment.
Assignment Details:
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of ER experience (1 year considered with strong ER skills); first-time travelers accepted
• Licensure & Certifications: Active Maryland RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• Floating: Required within the specialty
• On-Call: No pre-scheduled on-call requirements
Unit Information:
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Average Daily Census: 130
• Number of Beds: 47
• Patient Population: All age groups (infants through geriatric)
• Patient Diagnoses: Broad and complex; fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
Local Rule: Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from the facility at the time of submission.
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Posted job title: Registered Nurse/ER
